Perth (Scottish English: [ˈpɛrθ] ⓘ PERTH; Scottish Gaelic: Peairt [pʰɛrˠʃtʲ]) is a centrally located Scottish city, on the banks of the River Tay. It is the administrative centre of Perth and Kinross council area and is the historic county town of Perthshire. It had a population of about 47,430 in 2018.

Perth was founded by Captain James Stirling in 1829 as the administrative centre of the Swan River Colony. The city is situated on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people, where Aboriginal Australians have lived for at least 45,000 years. Perth was named after the city of Perth in Scotland.

Dull (Scottish Gaelic: Dul, pronounced) is a village in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. It is paired with Boring, Oregon. Bland, New South Wales, Australia, is also a member of the League of Extraordinary Communities established by Boring and Dull in 2013.
