Sir David Mark Rylance Waters ( / raɪləns /; born 18 January 1960) is an English actor, playwright and theatre director. He is known for his roles on stage and screen having received numerous awards including an Academy Award, three BAFTA Awards, two Olivier Awards and three Tony Awards.
Mark Rylance is an English actor, producer and former artistic director of Shakespeare's Globe. He has won an Oscar, four Tonys, two Oliviers and a BAFTA for his roles in theatre, film and TV, including Bridge of Spies, Wolf Hall and The BFG.

Mark Rylance is an English actor known for his work in film, television and theatre. Rylance started his career with the Royal Shakespeare Company acting in numerous productions of William Shakespeare 's work such as The Tempest (1982), A Midsummer Night's Dream (1986), Hamlet (1989), and Romeo and Juliet (1989).
Actor: Bridge of Spies. Mark Rylance was born in Ashford, Kent, the son of Anne (née Skinner) and David Waters, both English teachers. His grandmother was Irish. His parents moved to Connecticut in 1962 and Wisconsin in 1969, where his father taught English at the University School of Milwaukee.
